Welcome to the BOSF Web Site!
a non-profit organization serving the San Francisco Bay Area Bear Community
Formed in 1994 Bears of San Francisco is a non-profit charitable organization. Through our fundraising activities, we have contributed over $435,000 to a number of charities at the local, state, and national level.
Centered in the San Francisco Bay Area, BOSF currently has approximately 280 members in more than a dozen states and countries.
BOSF provides a diverse variety of activities for the Bear community and in so doing promotes fun, friendship, and fraternity while supporting charitable causes and fostering community involvement.
Membership
Membership is open to interested persons 18 years of age or older. All Members receive email announcements and reminders about BOSF Activities and Club related information.
All Members also receive the Quarterly Newsletters and Rosters via email in an Adobe Acrobat File as well as discounts on registration for the International Bear Rendezvous, our monthly Beverage Benefits and BOSF Merchandise including Club T-Shirts and Pins. Additionally, all regular members are given the opportunity to vote annually on the Candidates for the Board of Directors as well as any other club related matters. |

eBear Members receive all of the benefits described above via email.
We know how annoying it can get to rely on reminders to renew your membership.
So, for you long time members that know you will be around, we offer extended memberships that will not only avoid yearly reminders, but can also save you money. |
1 Year - $25
2 Years - $45 (Save $5)
3 Years - $65 (Save $10)
4 Years - $85 (Save $15)
5 Years - $105 (Save $20) |

Associate Members may not vote on the Candidates for the Board of Directors or any other club related matters, but receive all other benefits described above. Associate membership is intended for those who live outside the Bay Area or otherwise find it difficult to attend BOSF Activities.
Extended associate memberships are not available.

Notes:
- Every person who has ever been a BOSF Member, attended an IBR since 2003 or is currently on our Mailing List already has a profile in our contact manager. Please use this record to initiate or renew your membership.
- If you are an existing member and would like to change the length of your membership (from 1 to 3 years for example) please email us at membership@bosf.org to advise us of what you would like to change it to.
Payments
Got a payment that you need to make to BOSF?
Here is where you can do that. This form is for making payments to BOSF for merchandise or money owed for an auction or whatever other reason.
It is not for an upgrade to an event registration or add ons of activities. You can do that directly inside of the registration form you already filled out. Just go back to the registration for that event and edit your registration, it will automatically recalcute the difference.
The form can handle anything that is not directly related to an event. Just assign a quantity to the various denominations of money to equal the total amount, then select if the funds are going to BOSF or IBR, and then put the comments regarding the payment in the "Purpose" field. |
