Sisters Leater and Feathers BINGO in the Green Room at the War Memorial Veterans Building. Nuns and Bingo. Who could ask for anything more? $30 to play. $40 for VIP seating. The event begins at 7pm & the Sisters even have daubers for you.
$100 costume prize for the best/most outrageous costume!
You will find the War Memorial Veterans Building right across Van Ness from the San Francisco City Hall (401 Van Ness). The Green Room is on the second floor. The Alexander Hamilton Post 448 of the American Legion, a co-sponsor of Sisters Bingo, sells cocktails, sodas and snacks in their canteen. This is the only GLBT post recognized by the American Legion.
Go online at Sisters Bingo to be part of the fun. Tickets should be purchased in advance, this is always a sell-out event. |

Walk with BOSF to double your pledges. Sunday, July 19th, 2009 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
The AIDS epidemic has NOT gone away, and this year it's especially important to help. There is a continuing need and there are thousands of people in the Bay Area who are personally helped by the SF AIDS Foundation and the other organizations benefiting from this event.
A generous member of BOSF will match all pledges for those on the BOSF team up to $5,000 total ...and his employer will additionally match his first $1000. So, if we raise $5,000, it will net $11,000 to local AIDS charities. (You do not have to be a BOSF member to join the team.)

BearBucks
A BOSF Fundraiser
In Front of Starbucks
18th and Castro Saturday, July 25th, 2009 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Everyone has change to spare after getting a cup of Joe in the Castro. The Bears of San Francisco will be in front of Starbucks on 18th at Castro Street for two hours to put the FUN in FUNdraising.
The Beefy Bears will have their BearBucks Buckets gathering donations for charity.
We are collecting for LYRIC, Lavender Youth Recreation and Information Center. LYRIC is building community and inspiring social change for LGBTQQ youth. LYRIC is San Francisco's queer youth resource center based in the heart of the Castro.
$2 buys a raffle ticket. $10 gets you 5 raffle tickets and a cup of Starbucks. $20 gives you 10 raffle tickets and a cup of Starbucks and an IBR Tshirt or cap. The grand prize for this raffle is 2 tickets to see Kathy Griffin perform live when she is in town over Labor Day weekend. |
